We audit local business websites for a living, mostly restaurants and clinics, across six European markets. These are the patterns worth writing down — what breaks, what changes bookings, and what is actually happening to search now that people ask assistants instead of typing.

  What we found auditing 228 local business websites

  We scored 228 restaurants, dental practices and clinics across six countries on the same rubric. Every single one had a website. Nine in ten scored below 40 out of 100, while their Google ratings averaged 4.4 stars. The problem is almost never the business.
